For this reason, it is usually not possible to see them perform live before you choose to book. Occasionally they do perform at live public events but these are seldom. Yes. Merchant Music issue digital online contracts between the artist and you as the client. Once you have completed and signed your contract this is then sent to the artist for their approval and signature after which all parties receive a completed copy of the contract. Once the booking fee has been paid the booking is then confirmed.
We typically charge a 20% booking fee to secure your booking payable via BACS following the issuing of contract(s). The remaining balance is then due 4 weeks prior to your event date.
Booking a band or act should always be booked around your time scales and what works for you and your wedding. We would however always recommend booking as early as possible. Peak dates will often be booked years in advance for weddings and in order to find the right act we would encourage you to book your entertainment with Merchant Music as soon as you have secured your venue. Once you have found the perfect act(s) for your event and everything is contracted you can breath a sigh of relief knowing your entertainment is handled.
Providing wedding entertainment forms a significant portion of what we do here at merchant Music but it’s not the only event type we cater for. Corporate band hire, awards ceremonies, charity balls, celebrations of life, music for birthday parties are just some examples of the private event types we cater for. The “starting from” prices displayed on our artist pages are the lowest possible prices available for a weekend performance. There are a number of variable factors such as travel costs, time of year, accommodation costs parking and congestion charges that can all affect the final quotation.
A good number of our acts are curated in house and operate exclusively for Merchant Music which means they do not market themselves online elsewhere.

Yes this is possible but in all cases, an act has to be appropriately compensated for their time and travel expenses. Provided the event space and stage area where the band are to perform is level, has adequate power our acts can play almost anywhere.
Upon receipt of your enquiry, we will send you a PDF quotation which factors in all travel expenses, VAT and other expenses unless otherwise stated. Sometimes city centre parking charges cannot be calculated until after the event but we will always try to offer a ball park figure and the act will provide you with receipts of any additional parking charges incurred.
